The Stafford County School Superintendent is retiring and the county is requesting feedback from residents during the search process.
The primary objective of the public engagement process is to learn and identify the strengths, needs, and issues of our school system from the perspective of a variety of school and community stakeholders. A Leadership Profile will then be developed with this information which will be used to recruit the best slate of candidates to meet our division’s needs.
The format for the public engagement process is as follows:
- The Board and BWP will engage a targeted group of stakeholders for in-person outreach. (late July)
- Community forum for interested persons to engage in the process at the Stafford County School Board Chambers
- July 28, 5-6 p.m.
- July 29, 12-1 p.m.
- July 29, 5-6 p.m.
- Email opportunity for any interested individual to provide comments on the characteristics of, and the challenges for, the new superintendent. (Open from mid-July to August 3)
- A Superintendent Leadership Profile will be presented to the Board in early August based on the prior profile supplemented with recent community engagement comments. (August 10)
