School Start Date

The School Board intends to vote on June 26, 2018, on whether to start the school year on August 12, 2019 and August 10, 2020 rather than after Labor Day.

The School Board meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm. In June, the meetings will be held on June 12^th and June 26^th. It is my understanding that the School Board will be voting on pre or post Labor Day start dates at the June 26^th meeting. All School Board meetings are held in the School Board Chambers, located in the Alvin York Bandy Administrative Complex. The address is 31 Stafford Avenue in Stafford, Virginia.

Residents can speak at the School Board meetings. Show up at the June 12^th and/or June 26^th to get your opinion on the record.
