Call for Garrisonville Supervisor Seat Mass Meeting

OFFICIAL CALL

Mass Meeting of the Stafford County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia

(Modified–New location due to higher than originally expected participation)

As Chairman of the Stafford County Republican Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Eric Herr, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at Hampton Oaks Elementary School Gymnasium, 107 Northampton Boulevard, Stafford, VA, starting at 7:30 P.M. local time on January 30, 2012 for the following purpose:  Nominating a Republican candidate for the office of Garrisonville Board of Supervisors Member to be voted for in the SPECIAL ELECTION on April 3, 2012; and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the mass meeting.

Qualifications for Participation

All legal and qualified voters of the Garrisonville District, Stafford County under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

Filing Requirements

Candidates for the nomination at said mass meeting shall file a written statement by mail or in person, to Kay Dudenhefer, 3 Legal Court Stafford, VA  22554.  The filing fee is $250.  Filings and fees must be received not later than 5 P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2012.  If only one qualified candidate files, the Mass Meeting will be cancelled, the individual will be designated as the nominee, and the filing fee will be returned.

Registration Fee

There will be no registration fee to participate in this mass meeting.  Registration for the Mass meeting will take place from 6:00 P.M. until 7:25 P.M. on January 30, 2012 at the Mass Meeting location.  All participants will be asked to present a photo ID at the time of registration.
